I love tarantula because to get away my fears if touching that kind of species
Yes! Tarantulas are awesome!
Yes they are.
I have a burgundy golioth bird eating tarantula
Thank you for everything.
I like this kind of species because they look unique and are an easy pet to keep(in my opinion)!
Thanks Johan! Yes, tarantulas are awesome pets!
I got that tarantula calendar. It’s beautiful.
In terms of a great beginner genus with heat species, I recommend the Lasiodora genus.
With those L parahybana slings are among the most affordable tarantulas with L klugi and L difficilis being almost as affordable.
These guys are constantly out in the open once they get some size and adult colors. They grow fast, have a great feeding response & you can just go ahead and put them into a 5 gallon silly enclosure once they get to 2.5″ DLS.
They’ll run across the entire enclosure to run down feeders.
Just don’t handle them and refrain from tong feeding. It’s not a good idea to play battle tongs with your tarantula. The tug of war can go on long enough to the point where you have to just gently let go of them and get them later once the T loses interest.
Yayyyy! I’m so glad you got the calendar and love it! And LOL about the tong tug of wars!!!
It’s when they start climbing the tongs to kick some butt that gets me concerned.
The long drop is a better way to feed. The impact of the feeder allows the T to home in it like a heat seeking missile.

Also, if you’re using an Infrared thermometer to take the temperature of, say, your T stirmi, make sure that the lanyard cord doesn’t drag on the substrate or the T will grab it and pull the thermometer away from you into the hide.
Then you have to wait a couple of hours, distract the tarantula and wait for her to stop throwing a hissy fit and kicking hairs before you can put the hide back and close the cage back up.
Of course, you also have to refrain from dropping the device upon the tarantula!!
The temperature of her carapace is usually 77 degrees.
LOL! Good call on not giving a greedy tarantula the opportunity to steal your tools! Sounds like a hilarious personal experience!
I want to know if it is a good idea to get a tarantula because I dont have one but it is cool when I see someone with a tarantula
It’s a great idea if you do your research to see if it’s the right pet for you!
I loved T’s

Hello I’m new to this page
If I can get an answer from anyone please let me know, but I am worried about my rose haired tarantula she hasn’t been eating in months about 5 going to 6 months. She hasn’t molted either. I put a cricket or two and nothing. I was told she is hibernating, but I think it’s hot now for her to stop. She drinks a lot of water and I constantly fill her water bowl.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thank you!
Hello! She is likely in premolt – my tarantula regularly stops eating for a few months before a molt. Just be patient and offer her food every few weeks and if she doesn’t eat, take the crickets out. Eventually she will molt if she’s in premolt, or she’ll start eating again if she’s not going to molt. If she is drinking water, she is fine!
I just got a pink toe tarantula, it is sooooo small, what to feed it? What size terrarium should I use? Like I said very very tiny
Hello! That’s a great question! You definitely need to give it food that is smaller than it is – this could be tiny flies, small mealworms, or baby roaches. If it’s too small for that, some tarantula owners cut feeding bugs in half for their small tarantulas.
Will there be a physical book (Ultimate guide…) or physical magazines (Spinnerette) ?
Thank you,
Richard
Hi Richard, yes – you can purchase them through Magcloud here: https://www.magcloud.com/user/tarantulaheaven Unfortunately it’s a bit expensive bc they are not mass produced and Magcloud charges for the production. There is a free digital copy with every print purchase.
I am having the same exact problems with both of my Pink toe tarantulas

The nasty things people say about tarantulas or its owners is nothing short of ignorance. I am new to the hobby and when I read about the apartment incident, I cried. My heart and prayers go out anyone who loves tarantulas and those who are bullied by ignorant shallow people. Tarantulas are known to be spiritual and deserve the respect that every animal deserves. Hugs to all those who love tarantulas. My message to people that torture tarantulas, well I guess it sucks to be you.
I know that story always makes me so sad 🙁
