See?! SO cute! And then there’s this:
Ok, so it’s not a tarantula (it’s an infant jumping spider) but baby arachnids are just way too cute!
A fact about baby tarantulas
The thing that most people don’t know about baby tarantulas is that they are a little but more work than full grown tarantulas. Many first time tarantula owners believe that by getting familiar with baby tarantulas first, they will have an easier time dipping their feet into the tarantula hobby. However, that’s not necessarily true.
Baby tarantulas actually require a bit more care and attention than adult tarantulas. Because they are growing at a much faster rate, baby tarantulas (also known as slings) need to be fed more often and their tanks need to be cleaned up a bit more due to their more frequent molting schedule as they grow. This also means they need to be watched more carefully to make sure they don’t get into any sort of trouble! This is exactly what most first-time spider owners are never told about slings, so we wanted to make sure to point it out in this post so you have a realistic expectation if you are thinking about getting a baby spider.
